Attitude: The Right Attitude in 2012
Hello Partners and Friends,
I want to encourage you to kick the year off with the right attitude. We all go through disappointing experiences and tight situations in life. However, it’s important to not allow the disappointments or difficult times of the past decide our present attitude and future outlook.
As you go into 2012, consider these 3 truths about Attitude:
Is the “advance man” of our true selves.
Its roots are inward but its fruit is outward.
Is our best friend or worst enemy.
Is more honest and more consistent than our words.
Is an outward look based on past experiences.
Is a thing which draws people to us or repels them.
Is never content until it is expressed.
Is the librarian of our past.
Is the speaker of our present.
Is the prophet of our future.
– John Maxwell
2) Attitude Determines how you approach Life
“What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude toward it.” – Sidlow Baxter in Awake, My Heart
While the entire army of Israel looked at Goliath and thought, “this giant is so huge, we can never defeat him’, David, a small shepherd with an attitude, thought, “this ugly guy is so big I can’t miss!”
The only difference between David and the Army was his attitude toward the giant. How will you approach your giants this year?
3) Your Attitude will decide how you treat People
The money you make in any endeavor is determined only 12.5% on knowledge and 87.5% by your ability to deal with people. – Stanford Research Institute
“The most important single ingredient to the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people.” – Teddy Roosevelt
“I will pay more for the ability to deal with people than any other ability under the sun.” – John D. Rockefeller
People are important. They are the center of God’s affection proved by the cross. How you treat God’s other kids will determine your advancement in life. God needs servants not dictators. God also advances servants but brings down the proud.
Believing for your best year ever,
